My name is Rebeca Cristiny and I live in Rio de Janeiro in the Vila Cruzeiro community. Vila Cruzeiro is known for it’s violence and never-ending war between drug gangs and the police. Even though life is hard over here, I have a passion… football. When I play football I’m happy. I forget everything around me, when I dribble or score a goal it brings me peace.
When I grow up I want to be a professional football player. All of my football idols speak English. For me it’s important to learn English just like them. So I can travel the world and communicate with people from different countries. That is my biggest dream in life.
