For the upcoming Olympics, Amsterdam-based streetwear label Patta and football gear giant Umbro are joining forces to create a unique auction in support of the Favela Street foundation. This summer, Favela Street will organize a very special street football tournament: the Favela Champions, especially for girls in Rio’s favela slums. With this, the foundation will show the world that girls everywhere deserve the same standing as boys – on and off the football pitch. With Patta and Umbro, the foundation found world renowned partners to support this cause with exclusive, high end football jerseys. Nine of these unique football jerseys will be auctioned on Friday, the 1 st of July at X BANK Amsterdam.

Favela Champions
The Favela Street foundation will organize the Favela Champions together with Street Child United and local trainers. With the tournament, the foundation will help more girls develop in a positive way and empower them to become strong role models for their local communities.

Favela Street exists to support young people forced to grow up in slums, where poverty and social issues run rampant. Using street football, self-esteem and interpersonal skills are instilled in generations of at-risk youngsters all over the world.
