Team Favela Street is back in Curacao for another round of workshops. In April this year we started with a group of 25 young people from all over the island. And now we are back. The program runs for 2,5 years and our goal is to create a new generation of role models with the power of street football. These young role models will organize football activities in their communities. And in our personal development program they learn more about their talents and potential and how to use this to make the best out of their lifes. With 15 young people the Favela Street Kórsou team became smaller, but still a lot of familiar faces from the first round are back with the team.
In the 2nd round of Favela Street Kórsou the main goal for the coaches is to organize 2 to 5 events in 2 weeks and to learn about having a positive mindset and attitude. Today was the last day of the workshop program and with 6 events organized and 2 to go the coaches outdone themselves.
Not only did they organize events, they learned more about working together and how to benefit from a positive mindset. In the 1st round we started our impact measurement and also this round local researcher Elly Hellings interviewed and tested the coaches. We want to know the growth of the coaches and learn more about how our program works. Of course we will share the impact of the program on our website.
