Saturday night the 28th of May Encore Amsterdam organized a special Encore X Favela Street club night at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. Encore is the biggest and most popular hiphop club night in the Netherlands. Over 1.100 visitors made a contribution to Favela Street.
DJ Waxfiend (Wesley Texel) one of the founders of Encore, met team Favela Street last summer in Curacao during educational arts program Art Rules. Team Favela Street gave a workshop to a group of students and DJ Waxfiend was one of the teachers. He was so moved by the Favela Street story that he wanted to show support.
